Chocolate Havanese

Peanut Butter bites


  • 1 & 1/3 cup flour (325ml)
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats (175ml)
  • 1/3 cup wheat germ (83ml)
  • 2/3 cup water (166)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (60 ml)
  • 1/4 cup honey (60 ml)
  • 1 Tbsp. powdered milk (15ml)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder(5ml)

    In a medium bowl, with mixer at low speed, mix 1 cup of the flour with the remaining ingredients. Knead in the last 1/3 cup flour by hand. On a floured board, roll or pat out to 1/4" thick. Cut out with cookie cutters and bake on cookie sheets coated with non-stick spray for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Turn oven off. Let cookies remain in oven 1-2 hours more. When cool, store in airtight container or freeze. You can serve as is, or, for an extra special treat, assemble into sandwiches. Just spread one cookie with a thin layer of cheese whiz or pate style dog food. Top with a second cookie to make a sandwich.
