  • 1 pound chicken livers (454g)
  • garlic salt

    preparation instructions

    Cut chicken livers in half and wash. Pat dry with paper towel. Spread out chicken livers on a rack or perforated pan in a cookie sheet or on a broiler pan. Sprinkle lightly with garlic salt. Broil 5-6 inches from heat for about 10-15 minutes OR bake at 350 about 25-30 minutes. Turn once during cooking and apply garlic salt to the other side. You want the livers cooked through; dry but not brittle, about the consistency of a pencil eraser.

    You can also make these on the BBQ if you have a perforated grill pan so they don't fall through the grill. Grill till liver is done, about 15 minutes.

    These freeze well and break easily into tiny training treat size pieces, a good recipe for show or training bait.
    Cricket's favourite. She will do pretty much anything for these.
