Chocolate Havanese

ingredients

  • 1 bouillon packet or cube (beef or chicken)
  • 2 cups water (500ml)
  • preparation instructions

    This is a very special treat for those hot dog days of summer. Dissolve 1 beef or chicken flavoured bouillon cube or packet (preferably low-salt or salt free) with 2 cups of water. Pour into ice cube trays. Two cups (500ml) of liquid should fill 2 trays. Freeze. If you wish to make them even more special, you can insert a small rawhide twist for a handle. When frozen, pop out and store in a freezer bag. Serve one outdoors on a hot day for a summer cooler. YUM!!

    Variation: For a different taste you can also make these with unsweetened apple juice diluted 1:1 with water.

    A frozen treat does not replace water. Remember to always keep a bowl of fresh water available.
