Chocolate Havanese

Cocoa's Veggie Nips


  • 1 cup white flour (250ml)
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (500ml)
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (125ml)
  • 1/2 cup cracked wheat (125ml)
  • 1/2 shelled sunflower seeds (125ml)
  • 1/2 cup minced celery (125ml)
  • 1/2 cup minced carrot (125ml)
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley (125ml)
  • 1 1/4 cup chicken broth (310ml)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil(45ml)

    In a medium bowl, mix flours, rolled oats,sunflower seeds and cracked wheat. Add minced carrots, celery and parsley. In a large measuring cup mix egg, broth,oil and minced garlic. Add to dry ingredients and mix well. If dough is too soft; add a bit more flour. If dough is too stiff; add a bit of water. Pat out on floured board to about 1/4" thick. Cut out into 1 inch sqaures or with small cookie cutters. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. If desired, you can brush the tops with milk before baking. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.
