Piebald, Particolour, Irish Pied
The white spotting gene is responsible for areas of white on any colour coat. White can range from the tiniest white fringe on the chin to a dog that is almost completely white with only touches of colour. See the explanation of white spotting in the definitions section. BLACK PIEBALD
Here is Beans from Mischief Havanese. Beans is a very lightly marked particolour, sometimes called extreme Piebald.
BLACK PARTICOLOUR
This dashing Bandit is owned by Triple H
Kennel in the USA. Bandit's coat is over 50% white with irregular patches of black.
CHOCOLATE IRISH PIED
Ten month old Che De Chocolate shows classic Irish Pied markings. White chin, chest, feet, collar and tail tip.

CHOCOLATE PIEBALD
Luna, bred by Nevena Havanese, is a lightly
marked particolour (piebald). She shows quite
a bit more colour on her head than Beans.
SABLE PARTICOLOUR
Smudge owned by Glo and the Dawn Glo Gems
is just looking for a playmate to join her playing
in the snow.
BLACK IRISH PIED
Spender, a playful puppy owned by Bonneterre Havanese. His coat is over 50% coloured with black patches in the typical pied pattern.
RED SABLE PARTICOLOUR
Fenn, owned by the Hornstein family, shows irregular orangey-red sable colour patches on
a mostly white coat.
BLACK PARTICOLOUR
Lovely Lady owned by Penny Will is half black and half white. She could be called either a heavy marked Parti or a lightly marked Pied.
BLACK IRISH PIED
Buster is a good example of what the pied pattern looks like in a full adult coat. Owned by Barb and Michelle of Wincroft Havanese.
